OPERATOR TERMS

Operator Agreement

These terms govern taxi/private-hire operators using Ask4Ride to receive ride requests and provide quoted journeys.

Version 21 · 7 August 2026

1. Eligibility

You may use the operator service only while your operator account is active and Ask4Ride has approved the licensing and vehicle information required for your account. Approval can be withdrawn or paused if documents expire or become invalid.

2. Accurate licensing information

  • Keep driver and vehicle licence numbers, licensing authority and expiry dates accurate.
  • Keep hire-and-reward insurance and other required documents current.
  • Upload replacements before expiry and respond to verification requests.
  • Never use an unapproved driver identity or vehicle for an assigned booking.

3. Shift and availability

Turn your shift on only when you are genuinely available and using an approved vehicle. Ask4Ride can automatically prevent or end availability where compliance checks fail. An active assigned journey must be safely resolved before a normal shift-off.

4. Operating areas

You may request postcode areas, but coverage changes do not become active until Ask4Ride Admin approves them. Do not assume a requested area is authorised until it appears as approved.

5. Quotes and bookings

Quote fares accurately and do not create confusing duplicate offers. Once a customer accepts a fare, follow the journey stages in the app. The platform records the driver and vehicle details assigned at confirmation for audit/licensing purposes.

6. Journey conduct

Provide a safe, professional service, comply with your licensing authority conditions and applicable law, follow accessibility duties, and do not discriminate or harass customers. Keep personal contact outside the platform to what is reasonably required for the journey.

7. Messages and records

Ride messages form part of the booking record and may be reviewed by authorised Ask4Ride staff for safety, complaints, support, legal or licensing purposes. Do not use messages for unlawful, abusive or unrelated content.

8. Safety and incidents

Use reporting tools for serious customer behaviour, accidents, threats or safety concerns. Do not falsely mark arrival or journey stages. Journey status changes and reports are timestamped.

9. Fees and payments

Any platform fee, commission, payout arrangement or payment-processing term applying to your account must be separately disclosed in your commercial schedule/account. Do not misrepresent fares, cash/card status or payment completion.

10. Account security

Do not share your login. You are responsible for protecting passwords and verification codes. Ask4Ride may suspend sessions/accounts following suspected compromise, fraud, licensing failures or serious misuse.

11. Suspension and termination

Ask4Ride may restrict or suspend access where required for safety, compliance, licensing, expired documents, fraud investigation or material breach. Existing passenger journeys must be handled safely according to the app/support instructions.

12. Data protection

Handle customer information only for the booking and legitimate associated requirements. Do not export or retain customer personal data for unrelated marketing. See the Privacy Notice.
